We went there for a wedding reception and were pleasantly surprised. It's like going back in time. The short trek to the reception are was very pleasant; the trees and flowers were lovely. They are very "kid friendly". We didn't have a chance to tour as we would have liked to, but I would love to return.

I was most impressed with the pre-visit materials sent to us in a timely manner. I prepared the children in my class for what to expect, and sure enought it happened on our visit. They are incredibly child friendly, and prepared to work with children. The children visited for the the Christmas program and were still talking about it at the end ...

I LOve IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I live off The Street on crieve road so,My Mom Took Me and I was hooked on it.I went to summer camp there and this August I'll be a Junior Docent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This site is well worth the stop. We had a personal tour and our guide was extremely knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Learned new things about Nashville, and the house looks more like something most people 100s of years ago would have lived in. Not to be missed.

Took my three Daughters for a girls day out. Entrance was covered w/grafitti (my heart sank). Reception was lackluster. Employees seemd bored or very disinterested. Was sent out on our own, but had to walk back to get someone to show us the house. Was unclear if house, outbuilding, artifacts,or stories told were factual or original. Very disappointed, not worth the $8.00!

I disliked this place because the artifacts, in my opinion, weren't very historical and interesting. I've seen more fascinating museums than this one I attended to. I wouldn't want to go back. My sincere apoligies but I hated it.
