I did enjoy the view of the city and the quiet ride. The entertainment on the top deck was very good. However, the meal was really poor quality. It tasted like cafeteria food, and definitely not worth the price. The wait for food was long and hot. The tables and chairs on deck were picnic like and did not accommodate everyone. The drinks were ...

Overpriced and over rated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/09
Compared to other cities that offer options of riverboat rides that do not force you into purchasing dinner and show tickets this is just way overpriced. The show is what it is - hokey old style Nashville . I would love to have options like other cities (Pittsburgh PA) where a small fleet of boats offer reasonably priced rides up the river and back.
First, I want to say that the entertainment was fantastic. The musicians and singers worked very hard and did a top notch job, and they're probably the lowest paid people on the cruise! We waited over half an hour for someone to take our drink orders once we were at the table. I wanted decaf coffee at the end of the meal, and the regular coffee ...

GENERATIONS OF FUN

I took my g-daughter to Tennessee to visit family - and we stole away for an afternoon full of delightful entertainment! We took the VIP Captain's Tour - very affordable and informative; it allows you early entry onto the ship and personal "hands on" topics from the Captain! Friendly staff - offering to help and offer tips (short ...
I paid for the ride and buffet. You could also ride only and save a few dollars or go all out and get the show in the theater. The food was suprisingly good. The boat is very nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Band on the upper deck were very good. Young children may get bored after a while. Ride lasted about 3 hours and was a relaxing time. ...

Entertainment was mediocre, some talented performers, some lacking. Food was okay but the service was just awful. Not sure it was worth the price.

Cant wait go go back

I had been on the ShowBoat many years ago and remembered it was an excellent show and a great dinner then. When we went back this time I was not disappointed. We took my daughter and her new husband with us and they were utterly amazed at the show and the curise and the meal. EXCELLENT Time EXCELLENT value. we will go again next time we are in Nashville. We got what we paid for and MORE. HIGHLY recommend this when visiting Nashville!!!
Our experience was mediocre at best. We booked the General Jackson, but ended up on the Music City Queen. The table settings were very nice when we walked in, but the food was also mediocre and at around $100 per person you would expect more. For that price one would expect a glass of wine or cocktail to be included but everything was extra. Your ...
I ENJOYED THE GENERAL JACKSON BUT I GOT A LITTLE BORED ON THE WAY BACK TO WHERE WE BOARDED THE BOAT. THE DRINKS ARE VERY EXPENSIVE BUT THE FOOD WAS REALLY GOOD. THE EMPLOYEES WERE VERY NICE ESPECIALLY THE WOMAN THAT WAS WORKING IN THE GIFT SHOP. MY KIDS WOULD REALLY ENJOY IT.
