My husband & I went on the bike. Parking is great at the Graceland Harley Davidson lot. Then you can just walk on over to the tour of Graceland. I was in awe again. The difference though, I was really there! Chills up my spine and at times, tears in my eyes. Listening to his voice and music, watching his movies doesn't even compare to being ...
We took the mansion only tour and the $28.00 per ticket is well worth it. It still feels that Elvis is in the house and to see the things the way they were on the day he died is tremendous. Kids under 18 get a slight discount and it helps. The parking fee was about the only thing I had to dislike about the tour and if you can find a place nearby to park and walk it's in a nice area.

Don't Park In Graceland Lot!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/08
Avoid the parking lot at Graceland like the plague. If you can't find free parking on the street, you can find a nearby commercial lot that charges much less than the $8 fee at the Graceland lot. All the Graceland prices have gone up since the Presley family sold the property, but parking is the biggest ripoff.

Gotta see it

If you are in Memphis and are looking for things to do, Graceland is a must. Sure, it's a bit of a '70s time capsule wrapped in modern comercial capitalism (it's a cash cow), but it' still a must. Lots of interesting things to learn about Elvis and his life. Really weird place is the burial place. It gets real quit and Fans have emotional outbreaks. Gotta see it once.

G-land is awesome and you have to be a true Elvis fan to enjoy it! I was just there last Friday and I can't wait to go back. Elvis Rocks!!
We did the basic tour and were still there for half the day. We went during the weeday so there were not alot of people. It was very interesting & entertaining.
I qualify these comments since I haven't actually been inside the gates. I'm male and have been an Elvis fan since I was six years old thanks an older sister and being an Army brat in Germany at exactly the same time Elvis was there. I had the image of Graceland as a rural southern estate, or at least quasi-rural, suburban, etc. I ...

I`m looking forward to visit Graceland again in 2008
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/12/08
There is a very speciel atmosphere over Graceland. It is difficult to explain, but you feel it,as you could meet Elvis around the corner.I really enjoyed visiting his house.
I love Graceland. The first time I was there was a wonderful experience, almost surreal. I was actually at Elvis' home! After waiting a long time to go. I have been twice. I will be going again in a couple of weeks. I love Elvis,Graceland and all the shops!
This was awesome! From the time we went through the gates, listening to Elvis sing Welcome to my World to the time we reached the Meditation Garden, it was wonderful. I could have rambled the property all day long. There just wasn't enough time to absorb everything around you. Can't wait to go back and do this again.
