    Years ago, the Air Force sent their bombers to become scrap metal. The Memphis Belle was saved by a group in Memphis. After 40 years of being in Memphis, the Air Force reclaimed the Memphis Belle as it was undergoing restoration for its Air Force Musem. It is not on display there either.

    Unfortunatley the Memphis Belle has left Memphis for another city that has been able to provide a better museum quality housing. We will miss her!
