Best Place to Go During SummerThis place is great! The beach is not crowded, there is a lot of nature, and they have lots of programs/tours each day except for Sunday. It's great. The only bad thing about this place really is that you must walk a mile or a little under a mile to get to the beach from the campsite. Absolutely BeautifulThis is a wonderful place to visit. It is not expensive so almost anyone can enjoy it. This state park was absolutely beautiful. Christmas Visitation.I've been down here once, and I liked it alot. I saw some great wildlife, including three alligators sunbathing. I like it so much, I'm doing a school report on the park for environment Science. Perfect vacation spot!We camped at Huntington Beach State Park for the first time this summer. What a wonderful place! The beach is beautiful and almost deserted if you head north. We enjoyed the bike trails and tours of Atalaya, too. In fact we enjoyed those 3 things so much, we never got to Brookgreen Gardens or the Education Center.

loved itThe camp sites were huge, we actually shared with a couple we met while there and never imposed on one anothers space. The gardens across the road are breath taking. Great Day Trip if you're in the areaThis was a wonderful and inexpensive day trip if you're in the Myrtle Beach area. The beach and dunes were beautiful with great shelling. There are numerous wonderful walking paths and overlooks. Bring your camera and binoculars. Perfect spot for birders, bring your bird book!

Bring the kids!Huntington Beach is an annual vacation trip for families that have both young and teenage children. It is 20 minutes south of busy Myrtle Beach, but lacks the commercial business and population of that touristy beach city.

What A TripMy boyfriend and I took a trip to Huntington Beach State Park in August of 2004 and we had a wonderful time. The beach was beautiful, even after the hurricane. But we always go backWe return to Huntington beach every year, and really enjoy our stay there. It is really a great beach, and a quite park. However, the restrooms and shower houses need a great deal of attention/improvement. We realize the effort to stay within the "environmental context" of the park, but they could really use improvement in this area since they are at the top of the scale for campsite prices......BUT, WE ALWAYS GO BACK!!!!
