DEFINITELY GO. I FEEL IT WAS A LITTLE EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT WAS OFFERED!! Don't forget to pet the sting rays (the stingers are taken out of course)!!

Such a rip offb

$70 for a family to get in and see manta rays and a few sharks. Extremely overrated and not worth 5 bucks a head for admission. The only friendly employees are the ones standing out front to take your money and when you get in the door, you can forget it. The lines are long, and there's nothing spectacular to see.
I guess we were spoiled on the Monterey Bay Aquarium for the most part of last year. This place is not worth it for the price. You're better off going to the Aquarium in Atlanta.
There wasn't a great variety of things to see, but children at the running age will love the touch pools. Another plus is the underwater tunnel which was very well done and maintained.
Thank God we got in with a Military Discount.

Awesome!

We went off-season, the end of September, and it wasn't crowded at all. Definitely a must-see, and, though the price is probably high for a family to dole out, I thought the $18.00 admission per person was worth it. Remember to take the camera!

Fun and quick

My son and I spent a little more than an hour in this location. If you have been to grander locations, such as the National Aquarium in Baltimore, you might be slightly bummed. But if you are looking for a different kind of experience during your trip to MB, I'd suggest you give it a try. The unique presentation is fun and there is a nice ...

This was my second time here, it was basically the same as the first time, which was over 5 years ago, except they had a Mars exhibit, which you could not walk around and enjoy because of the crowd of people, but what do you expect at Myrtle Beach, there are going to be crowds. The tunnel was great, other than it smelled really bad in there. My 3 ...

Best part of the trip

I brought my two youngest (3 and 6yrs) while the older group went go carting. We had such a great time that the whole family went back after lunch. Be sure to get in when it opens to avoid crowds. Take your time- there is a lot to see. You can get your hand stamped and leave for lunch and come back in if you dont want to eat on site. Call ...

first time for everything!
By wendy w, 08/15/06
i had never been and so we decided to go see what it was all about! the attraction itself was amazing but it was so overcrowded that we were too busy wrestling for a spot just to see. because of the population, we stayed longer than we should've. the gift shop was pricey but still very beautiful things that we couldn't have found anywhere else! overall, we had a great time!

Too expensive
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/22/06
Very little to see in this aquarium, especially for the price you have to pay. The aquarium in Chattanooga, Tennessee is great. I would have to say that ANY other aquarium would beat Ripley's. This was an expensive and disappointing attraction. We will probaby avoid all attractions with the "Ripley" in front of it.

Small, but good

I'm surprised anyone would say this aquarium isn't as good as the one in Gatlinburg, because they are exactly the same. The same setup for both. It is pretty pricey for what there is, but what there is, is first class.
