The signs and ads make this seem like the most interesting and "unbelievable" place. But basically, it's a very small aquarium with nothing interesting at all. I have a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old. The cost for the family to get in was WAY TOO HIGH. You walk around and look in fish tanks. There's a small people mover and a show ...
I have been to Myrtle beach 4 times this year and have been every time. Best Aquarium i have been to. Very clean and a lot to see. It also has tons of shops around it.

Kind of cute I guess

Well let's see. The fish and sharks were pretty cool. But it cost way to much to walk around for 30mins and be done. I can see how it would be good if you had little children which most do but man it just was not worth $18 to walk through a few exibits.

Is probably the nicest and friendliest of the Ripleys Aquariums. The employees are much friendlier and helpful at all the exhibits. All family members enjoyed this place, youngest being 8 years old. The oldest being 55. Go when you have time to enjoy, raining outside would be a perfect time! The sharks and the horseshoe crabs bit were excellant.

Great exhibits wonderful live shows geared to families. Note - very busy if it rains but still a nice day,if a little full of "people" smells.(sunscreen, sweat, bubble gum)

Not one of the bigest but great for the kids! Good for a rainy day and staff was informative. Also has a gift shop at the end.

Great for young and old. I have been to the Aquariums at both the beach and Gatlinburg. I must say the one at the Beach is better and a little more interactive. Great place to cool off on a hot day.

Try Alligator Alley Instead

Let's start positive: Walking underneath the sharks and seeing the sea dragons was fun.
Maybe I've been spoiled by the Baltimore Aquarium and my expectations were high, but with reading about the sea life and being sort of trapped behind many strollers we still were out of there in 20 minutes. Which I was surprised by, because the place ...
My husband and I both thought that it would be bigger. We loved walking underneath the sharks but that was about it and we are huge animal lovers. Won't go back.
