If you loved the mini series North & South this is a must see. The grounds are magnificant but the house itself was a little disappointing. Lots to see on the grounds so you need to take time for a trip like this. They have a farm stand off the property that was well worth the stop before we headed to Hilton Head

After paying an expensive fee, we took the tour and found out we couldn't tour the house, only 3 rooms. Not the original house, slave cabins don't even look authentic. Grounds were pretty, but we can see a nice lawn and gardens in Ohio where we're from. Disappointed...

very beautiful, a little pricey but that is norm for about all plantations visits. staff was very nice and the atmosphere was just wonderful. we went on a sunday, got there right as it was opening and left after it closed. Seeing the oaks was absolutely amazing!!
