The beauty of the gardens can take your breath away! And it is so large, you can get lost in them. It was well worth the stop to see.

Worth Including on a Charleston Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/09
The house tour gave this Yankee an idea of how things were years ago in the South. An excellent learning opportunity for young and old. Most enjoyable was our tram ride though the swamp area, being able to closely view gators, turtles and birds. The color of the gardens was beautiful.
The trip was certainly worth the time and money. It did ...

A Piece of Heaven on Earth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/09
My husband and I spent 6-7hours enjoying every moment of our time at Magnolia Plantation last May. It was indeed hot, but that's to be expected. I have to agree with an earlier reviewer who likened this property to the Garden of Eden. It was magnificent. I look forward to my next visit.

Enjoyable Miniature Horses and Donkey
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/08
I am a season pass holder because this is a place to revisit. Each season offers opportunities to see different things. The miniature horses and donkey are amazing. The petting zoo is alot of fun for young and old. This is an opportunity to explore a beautiful plantation.

Disappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/08
The place seemed to be a little unkempt, and the house was a let down. In addition to that, the house tour guide was a haughty old dame. Middleton Place and Drayton Hall are both more interesting and more worthwhile.

Go on a not so hot day!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/08
We enjoyed our trip to the Plantation and Gardens. It was in the high 90's that day, but they cant be blamed for that. We took lots of great pictures (some in places we maybe shouldnt have been). As others have said, the regular admission will give you more than enough to do and see, and the petting zoo is fun. I'd give it an 8 out of 10!

Beautiful, will return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/08
I was referred here by a coment of a friend, who said Magnolia was like being in the Garden of Eden. The romantic style gardens of the 1800's is prevelant at Magnolia, simple walkways filled with the beauty of nature, alive now with colorful azaleas. I will refer my friends here and I will also return to visit.

Great place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/08
But I thought a few activities were a little pricy. The place was beautiful and the staff was great, but there was really not that much too see on the Swamp Walk and the Boat ride, each costing $7 per person.
Overall, I still think it's a great place to see and enjoyed my time there.

Nice walk!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/07
Just took a trip to Charleston. This is easy to get to from Historic downtown. The gardens were nice. Spring would probably be better although some things were blooming in October.
The swamp walking tour was great. Nothing like walking along the water line with live allegators in the water next to you!! Not for the weak at heart but fasinating!!
