This had to be the most unorganized event I have ever been to. We arrived at Roger Williams Zoo and never got home until 11:45. It was a big dissapiontment. When we arrived at 6:30 we were diverted around the zoo for an hour without ever seeing a parking spot. We diverted from the traffic and made our own spot. When we reached the entrance the ...

Best zoo ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/09
This zoo is incredible! We have taken our son a few times now, and always have a great time. It's beautiful scenery. There is a wide variety of animals. The animals have large habitats. All in all, it's a great place to visit.

Can"t wait to go back to the Park and Zoo
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/08
Great time and great place to take the kids. We stayed in the Edgewood Manor close to the Park! Wow! The History and elegance yet comfort was really just perfect. We were close that we could just leave the car and walk to everything. The park was really pretty with lakes and old trees and beautiful rose gardens. Olmstead I guess designed it and ...
My son and his family and myself went to the zoo on May 24th we did have a great time. The only thing I would suggest is that you make the animals easier for the kids to see while they are in their strollers. There was so much overgrowth on walk ways that you had to duck as you were walking. We will go back again.
it is a fun and educational place to take the family. This is one of RI's best kept secrets. Tourist dont come in andtake over. It is our own and such a great place to spend an afternoon with the kids

What a great Victorian Park. Lots of mature trees, lakes, and wonderful gardens with a new botanical garden. They have a lovely rose garden to die for. Loved the historic architecture and the buildings. The Zoo was filled with all kinds of species. We walked there from the Edgewood Manor a spectacular inn we stayed in for 4 nights.

My Great Good Fortune
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/07
It is my great good fortune to live across the street from Roger Williams Park. It's a beautiful place! The reviewer who wrote that the zoo is not what it used to be visited there in the dead of winter - January 18th. Of course all the animals were inside or sleeping! The zoo is definitely a warm weather destination, when you can enjoy both ...

Not what it used to be
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/18/07
This zoo needs help. It used to be one of the "top ten zoos in the country" and they keep trying to live off that rating from maybe 10 years ago...the exhibits are boring and the animals that are left are inside or sleeping. Boring. AND the price of admission goes up as the zoo gets worse.

Nature At It's Best !!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/06
Roger Williams Park was an absolute pleasure. It features an enjoyable zoo great for the kids. As you walk around the park, you can appreciate nature immensely. Beautiful trees and a pond with ducks and geese that come right up to you. Quaint bridges go over these ponds. There are paddleboats for your enjoyment and also a beautiful carousel. So if you would like a day filled with outdoor activities, this is the place to go. Enjoy !!!
I was a bit skeptical to drive out to RI to see this zoo (we are from CT) but we went this weekend, and it was money well spent! They say the average trip length is 3 hours, but we could have easily spent 5 there! The exhibits are great, they have everything from elephants, to flamingo's to bats, to sheep! A HUGE variety. Plus, there is a park ...
