Sand is very fine and soft but when the wind is strong then the wind picks up the sand easily. When someone gets up and pack next to you, you will get a lot sand on your face/body too. Don't eat or drink at the beach because you will end up eating sand, or the seagull will attack your food!
Parking is expensive but I guess most the beaches are charging about the same.

The beach is beautiful, bathhouse and snack bar were convenient to have. The water was warm and waves high but the red seaweed is disgusting. I had to wash my daughters hair several times to get it all out. If you don't like to swim it's an awesome spot. I myself love the water so with that said I will not be returning.

There's a lot to do at this beach, something for everyone: merry-go-round, evening concerts, good snack bar; They also have big-time volleyball tournaments, and great snorkling on the east side tide pools. It's a fine beach, if you want to be solely with tourists. The locals go to Sachuset Beach, only a mile away, but is better. This beach would be great if it wasn't for the red sea weed. It cost $8 to get in. There was a really bad smell of raw sewage. My co-worker said there is a sewage pipe near by the beach and it was closed for awhile in July, because of the sewage.

I don't recommend this beach too anyone because of the sewage smell and red seaweed.
