My husband and I enjoyed a great night on the murder mystery dinner train this past Friday night. The ribs were practically falling off the plate, they were huge! The mystery was very cute and entertaining...I don't remember any of the scenery on the train...I wasn't really paying attention to that. We really enjoyed ourselves.

A Fantastic Evening

We just returned home from the mystery dinner train, and had a very good time, ourselves and 10 of our friends decided we would go on this for an evening and see how it was. The food was excellent, the service was very good with a very pleasant waitstaff. The show was entertaining and we all had a lot of laughs. The actors and actresses were fun to ...

Thoroughly Enjoyable Evening

The Friday Evening Comedy Mystery Dinner Experience was delightful. The reservation process was straightforward and professional as was our greeting at the event. The dining car was clean and elegant set with linen, and china and the meal was ample, delicious and served by friendly waitstaff. The murder mystery was hardly Agatha Christie, but very ...

Beware the newport dinner train!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/08
The dinner train brochure and description (on their own website) belied what really lurked behind this very mediocre experience. This rather mundane excursion consisted of an agonizingly slow rail "tour" on an antiquated, ill-maintained observation car, through an old, run-down residential area. Even if you could see above the walls of ...
WOW. Where do I begin. Well we were a party of 6 hoping to enjoy our first night in Newport! First, the description on their website wasn't even close to what we experienced. They were overpriced. Their parking lot: was like being on the moon, DO NOT bring a nice car here, too large and too many potholes! Now.. I don't think the train went ...
Don’t waste your money! I should have listened to my sister-in-law when she said she hadn’t heard good things about this place but I didn’t and my husband and myself and another couple boarded the “Mystery” Dinner Train. As another writer said, the mystery is how this place stays in business. First off, the lady who ...
The receptionist on the phone was completely rude to my friend when we called to ask about our reservations. We told her we had reservations for that so we drove all the way to the main office for her to tell us there was no train running that day because it was a private charter. The website give me a confirmation number when I booked two tickets ...

Do yourself a favor and miss this train

We took our family of four to the "Polar Express" event they had. I would have been better for the kids if we never went at all. The train was dirty, (For instance when my wife and I both lowered our dinner tray, both of our cup holders had decaying food left in from probably 5 events ago). The entire train smelled like mold and just ...

I would not recommend the lunch excursion. The website is misleading with regard to the lunch menu which is listed as choice of Baby Back Ribs, Stuffed Filet of Sole, or Chicken Forestiere- these choices are reserved for private parties. Upon making the reservation lunch our choices were from 3 types of cold-wrap sandwiches. The train ...
mystery dinner train? How this company stays in business is the real mystery. A simple reservation made online that noboby knows about(even with their printed reservation). Land sea and air with hotel accomadations was suppose to be their package. Okay so no one working at their company knows what hotel or how to make the rest of trip happen. Thank ...
