Flo's Clam Shack is what Joe's Crab Shack has tried (and failed) to copy. Great seafood, great stuffies, great looking place and of course perfect location. Right across from the beach. Eat at the seating they have, take it to your car, or walk across the road to the beach, it's your choice.

Free beer while waiting in line, great girls at the counter, more awards posted on the walls than I have seen .Fresh,fresh,fresh. everything and everybody was helpful.

Flo's Clam Shack and Bar stopped the Beach cam. That was the only daily link to Newport I had. I wouldn't eat there if the food was free. I'll remember Flo's the next time I'm in Newport and avoid it like the plague.

Amazing seafood right on Easton's beach in Newport. Not much to look at, but if you visit Newport, you cannot leave without eating at Flo's. Enjoy!

Arrive two hours before the sunset and everything will be perfect. This is life. This is a clam shack where all-out quick service is not a priority. Of course, the seafood has to be first rate. It is. Go as slow as the surf. Why else are you here?

we stepped in and found out we could get red, white or clear chowder, and we felt a part of the local scene. we just had to get more quahogs to take back to the hotel but we ate them as soon as we got back.... good!
