This place is quiet; however, it is stuck between two huge refinery areas. The buildings that are intact are well done and taken care of, but the directions to get back to the fort a vague and difficult. This is a must see though if you love the revolutionary war.

Why Don't More People Know About This Place?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/14/06
Visiting friends in Philadelphia we took in the usual tourist sights in Center City. But at the Independence Visitors Center I noticed a brochure for Fort Mifflin. The Fort that Scared America!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/18/05
Being a history nut I went to Fort Mifflin for the historic buildings, Revolutionary and Civil War uniformed Interpretive guides and the atmosphere of the only, real Revolutionary War battlefield that still exist. But I also learned of the ghost of Fort Mifflin. The number is incredible and the stories that match each even better. History, cannons, uniforms nd ghosts too? What a place.

Fort Mifflin - A Historic Treasure
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/05
Old Fort Mifflin is a unique hidden treasure filled with history. I liked that is was a great place for visitors of all ages and was very accessible. The fort is fully restored and has a neat museum and gift shop. The underground dungeons and historic uniformed guided tour where really cool, and so where the old cannons. The fort is a must see when visiting Philly!
