This place is quiet; however, it is stuck between two huge refinery areas.
The buildings that are intact are well done and taken care of, but the directions to get back to the fort a vague and difficult.
This is a must see though if you love the revolutionary war.

Visiting friends in Philadelphia we took in the usual tourist sights in Center City. But at the Independence Visitors Center I noticed a brochure for Fort Mifflin. Being a history nut I went to Fort Mifflin for the historic buildings, Revolutionary and Civil War uniformed Interpretive guides and the atmosphere of the only, real Revolutionary War battlefield that still exist. But I also learned of the ghost of Fort Mifflin. The number is incredible and the stories that match each even better. History, cannons, uniforms nd ghosts too? What a place.
