I went to see the Renoir Landscapes exhibit. One word: breathtaking. Can't wait to spend more time in the museum. I also at lunch in the cafe. The food was great. The service was less than stellar, though. The gift shop was filled with unique works of art you can take home. I'd encourage any art lover to pay the museum a visit.

The fountains and statues are simply gorgeous. The area surrounding the entrance to the museum is a must see for anyone visiting Philadelphia.

A photo op with the bronze statue of Rocky, then a walk up the famous steps from the film. They have the spot marked, at the top of the steps, and you can look upon an absolutely breath-taking panoramic ...

  • Artsy and HUGE!
    By First L, 07/13/07
My husband and I have lived here all our lives and never tried the Art museum until this year. It is huge and there is soo much to see. I became overwhelmed and uninterested by the second floor. They could make it more kid friendly so that you could bring younger ones and try to help them find interest in art. Overall it was ok - could have had more interesting exhibits.

I really liked the tesoros. They were really good. You should see them sometime. While you're waiting you should see the Rocky statue that is there.

I am not an art buff, so I must admit the only reason that brought me to the museum is, you guessed it, Rocky! Not surprisingly, there are individuals running up the steps, hands raised triumphantly, as they imitate Rocky Balboa's famous run. This spot is also the perfect place for wedding photos, because of the spectacular view of the diagonal ...

The art is not art it is trash. The place smells really bad. The atmosphere is great beacause it is an art museum, but I did not enjoy myself. I am very picky so you may enjoy yourself.

I really don't care much for "the city", but, if I have to be there and the pressure really starts to get to me - I'll head for the Art Museum. Just going up those "Rocky" steps relieves those traffic memories. And the peace and quiet inside is like heaven. If you go often, you will always head for your favorites. ...
