I really don't care much for "the city", but, if I have to be there and the pressure really starts to get to me - I'll head for the Art Museum. Just going up those "Rocky" steps relieves those traffic memories. And the peace and quiet inside is like heaven. If you go often, you will always head for your favorites. ...

The BEST Museum on the East Coast!!!! It's free on Sundays. The permanent collection is out of this world. The installments are fantastic. They draw major shows. There is always something great to see.
Each exhibit I visited was crisp and clean, the staff I interacted with were the most courteous of galleries that I have visited as of late. I enjoyed the variety and medely of sites vs patron, personal space was a premium which allowed ample time for reflection of viewed items.
This is the greatest Art Museum in the world. This is so, not even because it contains one of the best collections of the world's fine art. It is the greatest because it lacks the pretensions and highbrow stuffiness that can make a visit to The Met, The Lourve, or the other "Greats" such a disconcerting experience. The ...
Dali exhibit was phenomenal but the whole place has really great works of art year round. The special exhibits had head sets that featured audio clips of famous works in the exhibit setting them in history and the life of the painter.
