This area of NYC is one that you have to at least walk through as a visitor at least once or twice, but I have to say that I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of it all. It's truly a beautiful sight to see at night, but it was a bit too touristy for me. Way too many people. I spent a week in NYC just touring and walking, and ...
If you're in New York you can't miss Times Square. It's fun, there's lots of shops, restaurants, bars and theater. I recommend the M&M's store, Toys R Us, MTV store but it's a little expensive, and Virgin Megastore.
OMG this is the most fantastic place I've been to in my life.We walked down the street turned the corner and BLAM the huge coloured screens hit you it was absolutely fantastic...you have to be there to experience it.I would recommend Times Square to anyone.I won't forget it as long as I live .I can't wait to go back there in 3 months time to do it all over again.Loved it!!!!

Super Duper Crowded
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/07
My first time ever in NYC and I decided to see Time Square at night. It was about 12 or 1a.m. on a VERY HOT summer night. You wouldn't believe it was still ridiculously crowded. Not that it's a bad thing, I was just very suprised. This really is the city that never sleeps. Lot's to do there, lots to see, lots to eat and lots to ...

Times Square is a great place to start
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
Times Square is a great place to start your tour of NYC. From here you can go anywhere in the city and chose what you like to do. Times Square is the first place I start when I go to NYC (I went my first time 3 years ago and go every year now-there is so much to see!) For first time visitors, taking a bus tour is the best way to get the layout of ...
Where do you start. There is so much to see. The shows, shopping and night life. Everything right at your finger tips.

This is NY!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/29/07
I visited New York City for the first time last June 2007. Had a dozen meetings to attend as it was a business trip. I didn't really feel like I was in "the city that never sleeps" until I had the time off to go to Times Square. Seeing all those all too familair giant electronic billboards as I stood outside the Winter Garden ...
Had to see my chiropractor when I got back cause my neck hurt from looking at everything. Go eat at Bubba Gumps on Times square and order Big Apple and you get to keep the apple drink. It was our most favorite souvnire.

No Other City Like The Big Apple
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/07
I am a Native New Yorker and just as I read these reviews want to give a bit of advise to the Tourist Crowd, Don't just see time square New York has 5 Boroughs and there is much in each to do, of course besides the lights in the city you have Central Park, Museum of History,Toys R Us, The borough of Brooklyn offers the famous Coney Island there ...
If you like hustle and bustle NY Times Square is for you! You are close to lots of action, restaurants and theater. At night the lights are incredible. If you don't know what time it is, you might not know it's midnight as the whole place it lit up. I have even seen cars without their lights on!
