A great place for tourists, Times Square provides visitors with a good flavor for NYC. A must see: Madame Toussaud's Wax Museum.
Surely one of the best values in the city (it's free!) and one of the most classically picturesque scenes of New York City. As with any locale in the city there are gobs of things to do, or if you are more of a gawk-and-awe sort of person, you can't go wrong with Times Square.

I love Times Square. You can easily walk there from Penn Station and there is so much to look at. You can people watch, sightsee, shop or eat all within a few blocks. Highly reccomemded for someone's first visit to NY City.
It costs you nothing to enjoy Times Square. People watching is grandly entertaining. You can find yourself a corner and see the world pass by.
