Have dinner, see a show, but definately go in the evening when it's dark and the lights are lit. The corner of Broadway and 47 has a great view up the "strip".

Go to TKTS for a great value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/05
There's nothing like live theater! In September alone I saw Spamalot.5 Stars, Fiddler.4 Satrs, and The Producers. 5 Stars! We got tickets the day of for $55.00 each from TKTS and were very pleased with the seats. There is no bad seat in most Broadway Theaters, and TKTS makes it within reach of most budgets.
I love this place for shopping, for the restaurants, for everything. i love chinetown, I love be there. I like it, i love, i love i love the chinetown.
The neon and the blitz of people is hypnotic. Dont bother eating around there, there's better and more affordable food to be found. The 10 person bikes that you can ride there look like fun.

A charge of life!!

It is always great to get out of the train and step on Times Square!!The people, the lights, the stores!!!Everything is amazing...I really like the different types of people you see there...people from all over the world...the languages,accents,looks...is very interesting and captivating....All that and you add the wonderfull Broadway plays....you can't get any better than that!!
I've always heard that New York is all "rough people with bad attitudes", but I disagree. Many of the people there were fun and as poilte to my friends and I as in any major city. The sites were incredible and the history and culture to be gleaned there were unforgettable. We were only able to visit one day, and we cannot wait to ...
Once in a lifetime experience to see a play on Broadway. Class acts all the way, better than a good movie. Something everyone should experience if only once.
theres nothing in the world like times square in new york city. there are so many different people and languages and cultures all mixed up into one. there are a lot of tourest and a lot of stores and hotels. they have a bunch of mcdonalds really close to each other because there are so many people there. seeing that makes me wonder what its like in downtown tokyo.
Times Square is the center of New York City. There, you will see people from all over the world, marveling at the great city.Visit at night for the greatest view of a Panoramic array of lights that stay on all night.Great place to visit, especially the theater District. The Big Apple, the city that never sleeps.!!
