If you like filth and the smell of garbage rotting then by all means hurry to Chinatown, bit don't venture into a bathroom here if you know what's good for you.

I love chinatown!! If you love to shop is is a grat place for cheap and one of a kind values. If you love to eat, It's chinatown neeed I say more!! I went with a group of friends, we went everyday while in New York City, and we still could of went once more.
I've always wanted to visit Chinatown in NYC and wasn't disappointed. You can find anything Asian here at a great price, including dining, groceries, kimonos, jewelry, samurai swords, books, music, etc. Go in the mid-morning and take a nice stroll before having lunch at one of the many great restaurants. When you've had your fill of China in America, you can cross a couple of streets and find yourself in Little Italy.
This was my first trip to Chinatown, and I was not prepared for it at all. We all (4 of us) thought it was smelly & dirty. We had planned to eat there, but didn't. We are going back to New York this year, but will probably not be visiting Chinatown.
