We made the mistake of walking through Chinatown on our way to Little Italy. Never again. The streets were not only beyond crowded (we had to actually walk in the street at some points) but they were filthy as well. We live in San Francisco where our Chinatown is relatively clean in comparison. Whatever you do, avoid this area unless you're into dirt. Yuk.

I went to a specific Chinatown store and asked the merchant if I could change my clothes to the ones I bought at his store. He agreed and I saw the name brand emblems all over the shelves in the back of the store and realized that I do not actually have the name brand items I thought I was getting at discounted prices. Phoney, Phoney, Phoney!!!!!

Never again.

It was nice to see Chinatown, but I never knew how dirty it was. The streets were packed with people trying to sell anything they could, it actually got really annoying fighting through the crowd and getting hassled. I don't think I will ever go back.

The best place I ever went to foo. I loved it. The foood was perfect homie. li li li li li li oo oo kk.

As a native New Yorker I can tell you that China Town is one filthy disgusting area. Its over crowded like you can't even imagine and the place is so dirty it makes you want to throw your shoes away when you go home. It's not what many of you might imagine, its not like a Chinese Disneyland. Its a heavily populated business district. God, its so disgusting there its not even funny. If you never visit it you will be better off.

The food was so good, and to see the different decorations was fantastic! The people there were so nice! But I think the best part were the egg rolls!!

It has a mixture of old and new. Superb and feels like a different place. I can walk around there forever and not get bored.

China town needs to be a better area. The need to be right givers instead of right deniers. They need to be cordial rather then discordialThey need to be nice rather then not nice. They need to be considerate not inconsiderate

GReat to go shopping...it was definitely fun to follow and shop....ambiance was great although i wouldn't go alone in the evening...worth it!!!...also try to eat the McDonalds there..it's all in chinese...oh, make sure to hit up Canal Street properly with light baggage because you'll easily leave there with a few black bags
