My mother has been taking me to museum since I was four years old, so for me it is even somewhate nostalgic. I highly recommend eveyone take a visit to the MET. It is a relatively inexpensive NY attraction, and they have such a range of exhibitions. Even if you spent the whole day there you would not be able to see even half of what it has to ...

I can go to this museum over and over again in my entire life.
Let me first start by stating, don't feel bad about giving less than the "recommended" admission price, the Met has many, many wealthy patronages, they aren't exactly hurting for $. If you are a below-average to average income type of person, honestly give what you feel you can. Now...once inside, you will be somewhat ...

One could easily spend a week here. We limited our 3 hour visit to special exhibits ("Coco Channel" and "Matisse and Fabrics") which were both educational and exquisitely presented, the permanent collection of impresionnist pantings, and part of the Egytian exhibits. You must choose your "selections" from the ...

However, I was a little confused by the admission fees because no one was checking for tickets. The museum is beautiful with gardens and the view of central park from ...
The Met has a vast array of collections from around the world. Some of the exhibits are so large, it infuses the entire room with it's presence. The sheer number of pieces require at least a two day trip to complete. A must go, if you are a art/cultural connoisseur.

There is a huge variety of art works displayed there from Egyptian reliques to Cubist paintings. They also had a very nice room on Chanel couture. The rooms are big so you can really enjoy the art works displayed. People are very nice and helpful.
just to let you know that his museum and the natural history one are non profit museums. The posted price for admission is suggested. You can give what you want because it really is a donation. Its not widely known but its true. Might help save money if you are on a budget
I loved the diversity of exhibits in this museum, including the beautiful stained-glass exhibits displayed in the glass-ceilinged cafe(we were there during a humid thunderstorm day and it was really neat to see the rain!), and the Frank Lloyd Wright room. I really liked the American Wing, as well as the Monet collection, though my dad wanted to ...
