We booked the 48 hour tour, allowing us to visit Downtown, Brooklyn, and Uptown. We had to wait more than 30 minutes each time we got off for the next bus to arrive. City Sights buses were running every 5 minutes. Also, seats were not always available on the top, and if you are forced to sit downstairs you won't see a thing. Some of the ...
Had great time riding the loops with my family coming into town. The tour guides make it extra special when they tell us personal stories. Well worth the money.
I think it was worth the $97.00. I got the Freestyle New York Tour & got the Uptown, Downtown & Brooklyn Tour plus 3 tickets to different attractions on their list. I chose (Statue of liberty & Ellis Island, Empire State Building & MoMa) I was very happy & it was a $300.00 value. I will be back to NY & do the Gray Line NY! Thumbs up!

My family visited NYC during the last week of July 2009. We were eager to learn about the city and paid a handsome sum for the tour package leaving from Times Square. We were able to get right on the bus and waited just less than a half hour for the tour to begin. No trouble there.
The tour guide was interesting even though he repeated some of ...

buying your busticket at the stops from the Red Jacket people can get bad! They swap your credit-card two-three times telling you the handheld doesn't work. Don't pay your ticket on the street!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We booked a tour for the first evening of our trip to New York City. When we arrived for the tour, we found there was no such tour for that night. The staff at Gray Line then thoroughly impressed us with the steps they took to remedy the situation. They apologized for any inconvenience, then offered to either transfer our tickets to a different ...
We only had a day and a half to see all of NYC. The Gray Line tour saved us because it allowed us to get around to major sights without worrying about maps and parking. We had an amazing view by sitting on the top level of the double-decker bus. There are three routes to choose from when you buy your tickets; some passes allow you to do all three ...

Gray Line tour to Brooklyn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/07/08
It was very informative and interesting thanks to our fabulous guide, Howie. He made everyone feel comfortable and welcome, and shared many facts and funny stories. At one stop in Brooklyn, we picked up some passengers returning to Manhattan. Howie was there to greet them. The woman saw him and said, "Oh great! We have the same guide!". She then gave him a huge hug! We felt the same way.
This is the best way to see the city in a short amount of time (the hop on-hop off ticket) In addition, my husband is in a wheelchair and we found this to be very accessable. The guides were knowledgable and well as entertaining and most of the buses that we saw had wheelchair lifts. We rode the whole loop without getting off first and then ...
Although a little pricey...it beats paying for cab rides or navigating the subway if you are a tourist. Guides are knowledgeable! It took us to everywhere we wanted to go! Our package even included the observatory to the Empire State building and ferry to Liberty and Ellis Island (although you still have to get passes to get inside the statue). ...
