Loved the variety..loved looking/reading about plain every day items and the value/importance they had in day to day life. It is free too..I liked this museum better than the Met. No wonder the Forbes Museum is "New York's best kept secret". Keep up the good work!

My wife and I visited in June 2001 and enjoyed it immensely! I am presently authoring a Pictorial and Anedoctal book on American History while visiting all of the Presidential Museums and Libraries in the USA, and am returning this June to re-review the wonderful collection of personal memos of the Presidents that are on view...I plan to give credit and reference to these memos in my book..(If there is any interest in this please contact me)

Forbes is an amazing gallery and anyone who hasn't seen it has to go see it. Its best for kids (especially boys) because there are so many toy boats and soliders. If you like monopoly, there is also the original monopoly set. In any case, no matter the age, you will love forbes!

This museum is a NYC serendipity. The delight upon seeing the toy collections brings fat smiles to visitors, I don't know if the Fabrege eggs are still there, but the collection -,even without them, is just as precious. Go...for sheer delight.
