I love Central Park. You could spend hours here. So much to see and do, but make sure you wear sneakers! Things you must see: Belvedere Castle, Bethesda Terrace and Fountain, Starwberry Fields and the Imagine Mosaic. Take a ride on the Carousel. Visit the Zoo and don't forget to watch the Delacorte Clock (entrance to the zoo) every half hour it plays a nursery rhyme song and the statues move in a circle.
Its amazing.. you have to go here when visiting New York, and if you really want to experience it.. take the caridge rides through it! Definately worth it!!
What an absolutely beautiful park this is. We live in San Francisco and are very proud of our Golden Gate Park but Central Park is an absolute gem. We were lucky to have been there on a gorgeous October afternoon. The park has a definite 19th Century feeling about it. We were also amazed at how clean it was. I don't think we saw one piece ...
A little crowded at times, but what isn't in NYC? Plenty of grass to lay on, places to walk... you can get away from people if you like too. I went during the Marathon, so of course, it was busier than usual. I absolutely loved it!
A sunny day in central park a buggy ride and ice skating in a t-shirt in november this makes a memory for life, only sorry we did not have time to see more.
Head over to Central Park in the Fall to see the leaves change colors..great and picturesque...if you are there on Oct. 9, head over to Strawberry Fields to celebrate John Lennon's Birthday and sing a variety of songs with a huge group of fans...take your guitar if you have one and join in...great for a picnic or just a stroll...
Every time I go to NYC, I always have to take some time to re-explore Central Park. There are so many favorite spots within the park. I usually start on the upper East side(E 106th st) and explore the conservatory gardens, keep going to the Belvedere Castle, thru the Rambles to the Bow bridge and on to the Bethesda fountain, to the Mall, over to ...
Overall: Atmosphere Value PROS: variety, beauty, history, romance
CONS: none
The paved winding walking path through central park goes over beautiful bridges over water and streets that find their way through the park. They take you past the bedrock that the unique New York City Skyline was built on. These paths could never be ...
There is so much beauty in Central Park I was amazed. In the middle of NYC there was this park with big lakes, a zoo, many hills and fields, playgrounds, artwork and the Fountain of Bethesda. This park is so full of life. People of all ages, races, colors and creeds co-existing peacefully. The bikers carting around people giving tours were ...
