Think Twice - Don't go!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/07/08
I will prefrix this by saying we are a HUGE science family and love many of the local museums (i.e. Hall of Science in Queens).
If you have been to lIberty before the renovations don't bother going to see the new place. It isn't the same: it has much less to do, things are very spread out with alot of wasted space, everything is ...
Overall, my family and I thought it was ok but not great. We liked it much better before they made all of the changes. It used to be more hands-on. Some things were interesting, but we really expected it to be more fun. We have no desire to go back.

Changes for the better? Absolutely not
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/07
I used to be in love with this museum. Even as a teenager, when my father would take us to family member nights, we would look forward to it.
This is not the case anymore.
To those who loved the old museum, you will be shocked. In total, there are about five old exhibits (the giant expanding sphere, the 'height measurer', the reflex ...

Some advice if you go..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/07
I just got home from LSC. We spent a total of 20 minutes there. I was so annoyed I asked for my money back and left.
Some things to note:
1. No mention of parking fees on the website.. however you will be required to pay $5 upon entering the parking lot (cash only) and more upon exiting and I would assume cash only then as well. They got ...

Generally sadly disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/15/07
I took an 11 year old youngster to the LSC today, and I was struck by the contrast between the physical attractiveness of the building, the very mixed quality of the exhibits, and the generally untrained and apparently unmotivated staff. Many of the exhibits are designed as hands-on teaching experiences for children, and as such require ...

It's ok- for kids under 10- overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/07
The overall feeling is that it is an ok attempt at the science museum. My 4 year old enjoyed it but I could imagine any child over the age of 8 or 9 with half a brain would be quickly bored.
The level of science is like 3rd or 4th grade. The overall design of the museum is confusing, non-intuitive and a lot of wasted space. The same is true for ...

Couldn't wait to see it again and was somewhat disappointed because someof the exhibits were still not working after such a long wait...
Not sure I liked the structural arrangements either.. individual rooms per exhibit when done, one is not quite sure.. the circular movement made me feel that I missed something and had to complete the ...

Don't Waste Your Time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/07
My family visited the Science Center today and we were SO displeased that I had to provide feedback.
-When trying to purchase tickets on-line, I was unable to get a combo that included the IMAX, the 3-D sun movie and the exhibits without paying for two full combo tickets. After an hour of trying I gave up and ordered them over the phone. ...
