I really enjoyed the view from the empire state building. It was awsome. I definitely would like to visit again. The view itself was invigorating.

Be prepared to wait!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/05
I've been to the observation floor twice now, on two separate trips to the city. I won't do it again, though. The long lines are enough to drive anybody crazy.
I last visited last December. I ordered my tickets online and was able to skip the ticket line. I thought that that might speed up the process, but it was still another 1 1/2 ...

Its NOT the Eighth Wonder of the world
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/29/05
Loved the view at night.
Didn't think the waiting to get to the top was worth it however. The whole experience is managed and designed by amateurs. Parts of the building are under construction...maybe they need to charge more to finish the construction. I purchased tickets online and still had to wait in line four separate times. ...
My daughter and I entered the building from the 34th Street entrance, and made our way up to the front where we joined the line to purchase tickets to the observation tower. That took about 20 minutes. After purchasing the tickets we followed the crowd first to one line for the elevators, which snaked to a second line for a 2nd elevator, which ...
Spent hours in line, paid crazy amounts of money....elevators are SO packed! Couldn't see much once we got to the top (finally!) due to to the amount of people! Couldn't wait to get out of there! Also, workers at all levels and areas were grumpy and rude! We were there in August and they did not have air conditioning, just fans! Good Grief!
Empire State buildings has been one of New York's landmark. A must see place for people visiting New York. You can recognise this tall skyscraper from far away distance. Its a remarkable building which was one of the tallest buildings in the world at the time it was built and it maintained that record for many years. Take an observatory tour. ...
Although it was a little pricey, you must go to the top of the Empire State Building if you are in New York. We went at about 11pm (it's opened until midnight) and the lines weren't too long. A friend of mine tried to go for the sunset and waited for hours in line. Even though the atmosphere isn't quite as romantic as it is in the movies, it is still really neat.
it's a terribly long wait but the view is awesome. Its very nice but be prepared to be on line for at least an hour! you can't either spend so much time there. But it's really nice and the essence of new york so i reccomend a visit!
