Our students and parents on this tour were so upset with the rudeness of the ESB staff that we turned around and left after an hour of being hassled about getting our pre-ordered tickets. We were disappointed but felt that the behavior of the staff was not acceptable and did not want to reward it by accepting the tickets.

I went with my dauters 5ys & 9ys old. They didn't enjoy the view because they are too tired to get there. More than 1 hour to get there was worst for small children. I'll go to TOP OF THE ROCK next time.
This attraction had a long waiting line, but I had the NY Pass and got to skip the ticket lines. It was worth the wait though because the view was breathtaking. Even though it was freezing when I went, it was definetly worth it.
I really like the Empire State Building. You can see everything. I got to see it before 9/11 :( it makes me think of the picture I have taking of the twin towers. It is not for people who are really scared or Sucidle. It is beautiful when you go in like the picture gold and then you up to 186 on the elevator. If you are in a hurry to go down go ...
Crazy Cold there up top in winter. Plus I was shocked to feel the building move. But the most pleasure I got was seeing the city at night. Plus the twin tower's Which are sadly gone. But. Any and Everyone should go see this great Building. Museum. And of course the...... movie Sleepless in Seattle. I saw the huge Empire Statue and the wall sign. Great Visit. Great Great Great

Not happy with the experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/07
Ok! It's a popular attraction in New York. But don't know why. I am from Toronto. My opinion is CN Tower has better view and better people than Empire State Building. The only reson I wanted to go ESB was because of the History of the building. There are long lines. Not once, not twice but 4 times you have to go through long lines. First ...
It's OK to go just once. The line for the elevator is really long. The view is great of course. But then you wonder, all this line for this? It's something I wouldn't do again. And the souvenirs are way too expensive.
I went for the memorial weekend and eventhough there was a lot of people we didn't wait for more than 40 min, including all the lines and the picture. Every body tell me I was so lucky:)
The experience of been looking all the city from the top of this buliding is unique, because it gives you a clear idea of how hughe NY city is, how far it ...
I liked the breathtaking view once we finally got to the top. I very much enjoyed the audio tour and I recommend that you pay the extra $ to do this. It is included if you buy a City Pass. We were there on a gorgeous summer day and we could see for miles.
I did not enjoy the lines. I felt like I got into line to get into line to get into line to ...
