Took my Grandsons 10 & 8 and they enjoyed it very much. I'm not wild about heights, but everything rode so smooth it was hard to tell you were that high off the ground. Bring a jacket! It was 55 degs. at the bottom and 32 at the top with 13 mph winds.

  • A little bit of Arkansas in New Mexico
    By actorguytim, 02/09/08
I took a ride on the Tramway in July. It was really warm (hot but dry) in the valley so the change was welcome. With a temp of 100 degrees in the valley the temp on the mountain was around 54. I am moving to New Mexico. I hope they have a year long pass.

I've been to ABQ several times...my father lives there. I think it's great. weather and overall atmosphere is relaxing. there are many great restaurants. and i have ridden on the tramway several times as well...it's a must see while there. other things i would recomend would be the hot air balloon festival in october and checking out sante fe.

  • Rise above the Clouds

What a fun thing to do, we live here and do it several times a year. Restaurant at top is ok, good for a snack and drinks, but their overall food is only OK, used to be one of the best. View is what it is all about up here, watch a sunset but make reservations early as this books up fast. Longest tram ride in the world (in length, not time). Sweet views, a must do when coming to Albuquerque.

  • Great Trip
    By akhilgupta2000@gmail.com, 08/17/07
Great tram ride, takes about 15 minutes to get up, once you get up, if you don't want to hike, you can take the ski lift, its about 1 hour roundtrip, with great scenic view.

  • View is awesome

Quick ride to the top of the mountian beats the long drive around the back of it. It's a great view--especially at night--nothing beats city lights. Also, great in the winter when you want to go skiing. Wear shorts to the terminal and change to ski gear at the top--it will be cold!

  • A Great View from the Colarich's from Texas
    By Crazy Texan, 07/10/07
It was one of the greatest views that we have ever seen. The air was nice and crisp. We are glad we took the trip up right around 7:00p.m. for a nice dinner and a unforgetable SUNSET... We can't wait til we return...

  • Wonderful! Unless You Are Acrophopbic!
    By what_i_think_of_that, 06/27/07
If heights do not bother you, this is a spectacular ride aboard the world's longest tramway. Once past it's only support tower between the base station (w/restaurant), and the station (w/restaurant) atop Sandia Peak at 10,000+ feet, you (literally) soar with the eagles for over a mile, with hundreds of feet below you to the western slopes ...
