  • Fun Kids Program
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/05
Golden Gate Park Golf has a great program for kids - especially if Keith is their instructor. Kids learn fast, so after a few clinics, they'll probably be ready to play the course.

  • A hassle from the start
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/05
For a less etiquette-conscious course my friend and I expected a relaxing 9 holes and brought a few drinks and snacks to eat while waiting for people in front of us to finish the hole. Instead the cashier held our back pack at the door.

To avoid the golf Nazi, just pay the green fees and bring your personal belongings straight to the tee. You'll avoid the hassle and can focus on enjoying your game.

Very well kept greens and fairway for a public course. Friendly atmosphere and the pro Bruce is a Zen master in instruction. A great place to begin the journey to the game.

  • Fun, beginner course - great setting...
    By Kunzeroyale, 07/19/04
This is a very nice par-3 course, right in scenic Golden Gate Park. The course is great for beginners - the longest hole may require a 3 wood, or a long iron off the tee. While this course can play quickly, it is not uncommon for long delays on the tees. It is a muni course and typically tends to attract the beginners and mid-tier golfers. The ...

  • Good fun for the money
    By stuartgoldberg@sbcglobal.net, 07/16/04
I've played here 3 or 4 times. If your expectations aren't too high, this course is a blast. True, it's only par 3, but if that's all you expect you will not be disappointed. If you have a resident golfing card you can save some money. The wait for tee off is usually not that long. There is a practice green and a net for practicing your tee offs.
