After I graduate with my masters in Psychology, I plan to make my living in San Francisco. Oh yeah, I'm taking my mother with me.

  • The Golden Gate is truly a Wonder of the World
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/06
Please don't miss the experience of walking over the Golden Gate Bridge. It is truly heaven on earth. The scenery from the middle of the bridge is really breathtaking. Driving across is also a great experience.
I recommend dressing warmly. A sweatshirt, or a windbreaker is a must.
A stroll back and forth across the bridge takes almost two hours, but they're two hours you will never forget.

  • Awe-inspiring!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/19/06
Though completed back in 1937, this engineering marvel never ceased to amaze any visitors to San Francisco, and will continue to do so for many generations to come. Majestically spanning the foggy San Francisco Bay, this bridge is simply beautiful from any angle, not to mention awe-inspiring. My favorite viewing spot is from the north-west vantage ...

  • A Must See
    By X M, 07/15/06
This is a must see. Everyone visiting San Francisco must take out time and enjoy the great view from the Bridge and soak in the ambience. The bridge has great amount of traffic however one hardly feels while one is enjoying the views of the ocean and all cities around the bay. Happy holiday!

  • If you go to SF, Golden Gate Bridge is the place you must visit
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/06
When i visited SF for the first time, I didn't find the way to Golden Gate Bridge. Even it is a short bussiness travel, I still try my best to squeeze some time to go to SF again to visit Golden Gate Bridge. Although it is a fog day, Golden Gate Bridge looks great. When you walk on the bridge and look around, You will feel your heart opened. But the wind is strong there, you'd better wear more clothes if you plan to visit it.

  • One of the wonders of the world...
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/06
Almost everyone in the world has heard of the GG Bridge. If you have a chance to walk or bike across it, you should. You get amazing views of both the city of San Francisco as well as the Bay and Marin county. It is one thing to admire it from afar...but it is totally amazing to be standing on it and looking down and around and take in the amazing views (when the fog cooperates).

It was a highlight of the trip to see the bridge in person. Great pictures & no costs! That's my kind of attraction.

  • Breathtaking and worth seeing
    By David, 05/12/06
Good views from the foot of the bridge (as well as all over San Francisco). Nice gift shop where you can buy a 1935 rivet from the bridge, painted international orange as a souvenir! Nice views from Fort Point.

It's a national icon. Don't miss the bridge if you go to SF.

  • Visiting Golden Gate Bridge
    By Kitty, 04/27/06
I went to San Francisco 4 times cuz relatives on my father's side live there. Saw Golden Gate Bridge. I have a picture of me as 12 yrs old girl behind that famous bridge. That was good shot. This is good place for tourists from out of state and country. That bridge looks strong to hold on and beautiful. The last time I saw Golden Gate Bridge was in July 1996.

  • Powerful Experience!
    By Marla, 02/12/06
Having always dreamed of seeing the Golden Gate Bridge, my husband and I finally - in our 40's -- were able to make it reality. We took turns driving across it, as we were exploring the Bay area for the first time and drove the Coastl Hwy 1 into Napa. Makes a mere mortal feel immortal!! WOW! When my sister and I were very young children, (my ...
