the bridge IS san francisco. although parking is tough to find; the muni can take you here. walk across one of the windiest areas or better yet, do it early in the morning fog. it's only a little over a mile long, to the vista point, but what a walk. you won't feel the distance. it's a must do! walking is free; the view of san francisco is priceless. you gotta do it, if you're here.

It felt really cool riding a bike along the Golden Gate Bridge. It was worth the time and money. I would recommend it to bike riders.

I have been to Golden gate in Feb 07 & I am simply loved that... The weather was pretty good... Me and my brother walked the Golden Gate Bridge atleast for 1 hr. What a magnificent bridge the Golden Gate is! I have seen the Golden Gate Bridge in all angles and in all weather condition during my 1.5 month stay

Great chance to enjoy the outdoors and see the gateway to San Francisco! Walk the bridge or the many near by parks. Or, just soak-in the many great views!

The San Francisco Bridge is a large beautiful suspened structure that spans overlooking the Bay in San Francisco, California. I've gone across it many times. It's been quite awhile since i was there.

I liked the Golden Gate bridge, because, of course, it is one of the most famous bridges in the world, and I can say that I walked all the way across it. Just a warning- I went in July, and it was still really chilly- bring a jacket! Also, if you plan to walk all the way across, it was very hard to find a cab or shuttle for the reverse trip, so be prepared to walk in both directions!

The best way possible to view all San Francisco has to offer is by motorcycle. The Golden Gate provided an excellent backdrop for some fantastic pictures of our bikes.

The toll of $5/car (southbound into the city, only) is well worth the awe-inspiring experience of driving under those famous Golden spires (more a dark orange, really), even when it's foggy.
I highly recommend starting in the city and driving Northbound over the bridge, then stop at the vista point and walk halfway back to the other side. ...
