Golden Gate Park is a great attraction that tourist should go because it's where locals actually go to hang out. It is a vast Park that offers many choices. It includes the Arboretum, The Japanese Tea Garden, De Young, and Stowe Lake. Best of all, most of these locations are free on the first Wednesday of the month.

Great place to expore and relax
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
This place is a refuge from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. It was so nice to just be able to walk around and enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery without worrying about speeding cars and traffic. The park is just gorgeous and there's so much to do there.
Not just for out-of-towners. A sunny sunday will bring everyone from every walk of life to the park. A virtual cross-section of the bay area, the crowd is there to enjoy the tot lots, flower gardens, spontanious music and free concerts. The streets are closed to traffic so rollerbladers and cyclists flood the roadways. Everyone is peaceful and love is in the air!
I liked the golden gate park because i thought it was okay. I've been there only a couple of times. one time i went there was to watch a shakespeare play for my english class. they have many events and activities that take place there so you won't get that bored.

Urban Oasis
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
Its a breath of fresh air in our beloved urban metropolis. GG park has so many interesting corners that every time we go there, we try and explore a new facet and are always satisfied.
Plus, it is really close to the inner sunset restaurants, so we always have good food options to explore after our day in the park.
The trees, beautiful landscape, flowers as a child my parents took us there and I released a couple of pet ducks in the ponds and I use to visit them almost every week. The park is the most beautiful and serine places I have ever visited.
This is truly one of the most amazing city parks in the world. You could never get bored here and always find a new trail leading to some new discovery. I love running through from the panhandle, passing The DeYoung Museum (which will be opening soon), past the ballroom dancers in the street, the rollarbladers pulling all the tricks, all the open ...
I love the GG Park. Such a vast expanse of beautifully manicured gardens and cute lakes... there's always something to do there! To walk around the park is free, and I highly recommend it!
