A great experience for anyoneWe visited Alcatraz on our visit to San Francisco and we were not disappointed. There are lots of things to see, the view of the city from the island is magnificent and the free self-guided tour with the headsets is a great way to get a feel for how life on the rock really was.2 of 3 Yahoo! A must seeWe really enjoyed the audio tour on Alcatraz. It guides you through the cell block, telling the history and some of the more famous stories as you walk. Alcatraz audio tour gets 3 thumbs up!!!Alcatraz is really worth it if you're taking the audio tour- otherwise it's a waste of time. A place full of history.We took the self-guided audio tour(which is awesome. You HAVE to do it if you go) and being able to see the bullet holes and the cafeteria and the solitary confinement cells was worth the trip alone. It was simply amazing.2 of 2 Yahoo! loved it and hope to go backI liked everything about it they had an old prisoner there and his story goes to show that any one can change there ways he went from robbong a bank to writing books about his experience. and the prison made you feel like you were there and could feel the stories they were telling.4 of 4 Yahoo!
