I loved walking and driving down Lombard Street. The world's most crooked street is lined with beautiful landscaping and homes. If you visiting San Francisco it is a must see! It is a easy stop on trolley cars (F). Make sure to bring your camera/video camera to capture your moment.
I thought the landscaping was just breathtaking. Long wait to drive down 1 block! Feel sorry for the people who live here having a parade of people driving through their yards 24/7. But we did it twice!!
Loved everything.. I even bought an artist proof Kinkade painting of Lombard St. That says it all. Go if you can well worth it. The city is beautiful and the food is wonderful. Espically seafood. The cable cars are a wonderful experience in itself. I try to go once a year.
What a site hadn't changed in 20 years, great atmosphere reminds me of back home in New Orleans.. Hope to go soon again.I miss the friends we made there..
EVERYONE is familiar with this street. It is a "must do"...just so you can say you've done it! We took a motorcycle...we can hear the loose bricks...click, click, click. Great landscaping. For me this street has memories...my Aunt actually lived ON this street, I waitressed as one of her parties as a child...black skirt, white apron.
If you're on foot, your best bet is to take a cable car or a bus to the top of the hill and then walk down. It's a short walk, really, and at the bottom you have a great view of the gardens (the hydrangeas were in full bloom in July) and the street. It's a perfect picture spot.
Just a crooked street and nothing more. Could not figure out why everyone was excited about this street. W.Va. has many! Nothing to brag about. Went while going to classes in SV. Sorry but to me was very boring.
