Fisherman's Wharf is an awesome place to visit. From the storefront t-shirt shops to the outdoor restaurants, the atmposphere is incredible. It seems like everytime I go back, there is something new to do. You can board one of the ships or submarine and take a tour, check out the aquarium, the shops, the street shows, and of course the food. ...

He best Clam Chowder
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
Fisherman's wharf is interesting. But the best part is the clam chowder. If you stop by the wharf, be sure to pick up a bread bowl of it.

Tourist & Local
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
As a tourist, I soaked in the beauty of the place six years ago. Wanted to make a living here.
Well...became a local and amazingly I still love this place as much as I did on the first day. Love a sunny day on the side-walk or for that matter any day there.
Its like a slow-motion movie in a dream locale; the bikers, runners, curious ...

Lovely place to be!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
Great food, great view and great atmoshphere. You can easily spend the day walking around and seeing the sights. There are some great novelty shops, boutiques and chocolate delis. Fabulous restaurants with super views of Alcatraz and Angel Island. Can be somewhat touristy but the sea lions and their associated noise/aroma, the Golden Gate and the unique San Francisco crowd, make this an experience not to be missed!

This is definitely the best place to go in SF, you can find nice seafood, shops, and people here. Pier 39 is where you want to go.

The Exploratorium Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
I think The Exploratorium is a great place for all ages. I enjoy the "hands on" atmosphere. It is very educational. My children loved it. You get a chance to explore things that you would normally learn about on television or in a book. I urge people to visit the Exploratorium on their visit to San Francisco.
Excellent place to people watch, especially the street performers! There are a variety of restaurants to choose from and if you like to 'window shop', this is a good place too!

Awesome! Can't wait to go back!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/01/05
There were many different things to do and many different kinds of food. There is something for everyone's taste!! Very fun!! Check out all the attractions and little shops. The warf is a great place for friends or family trips and often just couples.
... I liked this place a lot. It is so nice just to walk around the area seeing many stores that sell many touristy stuff - clothes, and accessories, and there are tons of seafood restaurants where you can choose your own seafood!! The place is so cozy that you just feel like to keep walking, and walking without wanting to go home! The cool air from the bay makes it nicer to enjoy the sun and the bay at the same time!! :o)

Must see
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/30/05
There is so much to do here. You can go on a day cruise or just walk the streets. There are food vendors all of over the streets and everything taste so great. There is even an arcade for kids down here. Peir 39 is probably my favorite. It also has all the souveniers you need to bring back home to you loved ones. Everything is affordable.
