Mainly because one can find produce and other items here that one can't get in the other farmers markets -- like padron peppers, for instance. I loved the Farmers Market.
Although I thought their prices were a little high.
The strawberries were the best I've ever had in my life. They were about the size of my fist, and not at all hollow!! Nice and solid! My daughter and I bought about 6 and took them back to our room and had them for breakfast the next morning.
If I ever make it back to San Fran....the Farmers market will be my first stop.
