My husband and I have been going there on our annual pilgrimage to SF for years. We understood why they removed the oyster bar (so old it had leaked into the floorboards) but not why they didn't replace it; disappointed to be told there was no chance of getting a booth but happy not to wait 2 hours drinking at the oyster bar for one as we did ...

The food was terrific and the service excellent! kudos to the chef! And the cocktails were out of this world! I loved the private booths,reminded me of Ireland pubs.

A couple of highlights that I appreciate:

- Great bar if you'd like a drink first.
- Great decor / setup / atmosphere
- Excellent food.
- Option to choose half sized meals (THANKS !)
- Nice relaxed staff.

Bottom line: Great value !

Great job of renovating, it truly speaks of Old San Francisco. Warmth and coziness abound as soon as you enter the door. Alhtough the wait staff needs a bit more training and some polish to their approach, I must say that Joanna is an awesome chef and the biscuits were amazing! I took home 2 dozen! Best to the Elite Cafe!
