I'm going to have to agree with the rest of the reviews. For it to be such a big business like it has claimed to be. It should be bigger. The staff is so nonchalant and its so damn tight in there. Its hard to wanna get up to use that little ass bathroom. OMGoddness......OVERALL

If you want authentic soul food get your Grand Mom to cook it, or go back down South. Ms. Tootsie's isn't it. The food isn't well seasoned like soul food suppose to be, and its overly priced due to location, and ambiance. But that is true of most soul food places up in the North East coast.OVERALL

I went to Ms Tootsies on Saturday night with a couple of my girlfriends to enjoy some good food and chit chat. I was extremely disappointed.The eating area is VERY SMALL, someone who is claustrophobic could not dine at Ms. Tootsies. My visit this past weekend to Ms Tootsies was horrible. I came all the way from Jersey cause I read such great reviews, but was disappointed. The restaurant is VERY small which accounts for the 1hr 45 min wait time. Good thing you can sit in the lounge while you wait. The only options for drinks were ice tea and TAP WATER. I love, love, LOVE, Ms Tootsie's! The ice tea, the perfectly fried chicken and the creamy mac and cheese...mmmm. Most people order the greens, but the okra with corn and tomatoes is my favorite. I visited Ms. Tootsies Cafe a while back and I loved there watermelon tea. They really need to expand. Their servcie was excellent and the atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. Food for the SoulThe space may be a little tight, but it's still worth it.
The candied yams are off the hook, the collard greens make you wanna
slap somebody, the fried chicken is delicious, all their desserts are good, especially the red velvet cake and the waiters are fine...really fine.
