Casey's has been a favorite for over 10 years...stopped in during the Halloween 09 wknd for lunch and we were really disappointed. Service was okay, but the food quality was not anywhere near the excellent standards that Casey's has always been known for. Not really sure if we'll try again next time in Galveston. Too many other choices in town.OVERALL

Dinner there last night was the worst in memory. We went to Casey's for lunch on August 30th. We were seated quickly, there were only three other tables occupied in the restaurant. We waited over 6 minutes for someone to come and take our drink order. The waitresses were standing over by the bar and cash register and we tried to catch their attention several times. Went to Casey's on a recommendation from the staff at Moody Gardens. Got there, waitperson is new and can't take the order right. Food came out an hour and a half later. I got the baked blackened shrimp, fish and shrimp plate. Tasted like it had been cooked for an hour and a half in grease.

Ordered grilled veggies - got waffle fries. Vegies came late, half cold half waved over the grill. No salt/pepper seasoning , nothing-- a joke!

My husaband and I were not impressed at all. It wasn't awful but it wasn't good. For what it was it was a bit over priced and the atmosphere was nothing special at all. I am so confused of all the good reviews this place got??? My husband and I went yesterday Feb. 7th 2009 and we were disgusted. Fresh Seafood??? The shrimp tasted fake. The fish was oily. I have visited Galveston Island many times and now live here on the island. This has always been my favorite restaurant on the Island. The seafood is very fresh and delicious. The Fried Red Snapper is worth the visit alone. The staff has always been friendly as well. This cafe is closely located to hotels and accross the beach. Definatley vist Caseys and you will come back everytime!OVERALL
