I have a feeling they are hard up for money because their menu is way overpriced. We used to frequent the place quite a bit but it seems lately the portions are much smaller and the prices are higher. The garlic knots used to be all you can eat and now they charge extra. They also charge for dipping sauces. Can a mere dipping sauce not be ...

This place is terrible. I like the building/location/atmosphere, etc. They do have a few good beers. Anyone who considers this place Italian food should be bound with duct tape and thrown in Skaneateles Lake wearing cement shoes. Portion sizes are small. I ordered fried calamari to start. It obviously was not fresh, previously frozen for ...

The food is really not that great.. tastes like pasta with a store bought jar of sauce poured over it. I could make better pasta at home. And it's waaay overpriced.

Joe's is off the beaten track by a block and a half, but this is the most fun in town. Consider following Grandma's favorites on the menu, but all the pasta and specialties are tempting. The atmosphere is lively and the service is attentive. Explore the beer options -- the list is extensive, with something new for everyone. Prices are reasonable. Things are likely to be busy, so call for reservations.
Love the gamelli with aribiata sauce. Order it with my wife every time. Nice owners...

ITALIAN IN A GARAGE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/05
IT SOUND WEIRD HAVING DINNER IN A GARAGE, BUT FOR PASTA JOE'S IT WORKS. THIS PLACE USED TO BE AN ACTUAL GARAGE. IT'S BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUTSIDE AS WELL AS THE INSIDE. AND EVEN IF IT WASN'T, YOU BE CRAZY NOT TO TRY THE OUTSTANDING FOOD AWAITING YOUR TASTE BUDS INSIDE.
