The food and service was absolutely amazing!!!!!! The resort was quiet and the ultimate place to get away. The overwater bungalows oozed romance and were very nicely decorated. Exceptional location...a million miles away from anything!!

I'll not go back !

Incredibly over priced. We were on an overwater bungalow (partially overwater), and it has been the nicest thing we had. Breakfast was cheap, and all other services. Snorkeling equipment was old and broken, and coral shoes (complimentary) all destroyed and damaged, and no one for big size foot. Fridge in the room was empty. Why they put it ? ...

This is the best located hotel accommodation on Aitutaki, with sublime views across the lagoon that take in a number of islands that customers can paddle too. You don't get that at the 'flashier' Pacific Resort. You also don't get as many mossies as the latter!
We are not fans of resort living, something we discovered the moment ...

2nd visit - wanted to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/18/06
We visited the ALRS for the second time in December 2006. We had fond memories of our visit 2 years previous and we were delighted to have had an even more pleasurable trip on this occasion. Aitutaki retains its status as an un-pretentious idyllic paradise, where the pristine beauty of the Island and the fantastic culture of the people ...

Beautiful Location, Disappointing Management
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/18/06
We stayed in the "overwater" (only partially overwater) bungalow, which was fairly well appointed and had an outdoor shower overlooking your own small, private garden. And, we had an unusual visitor in the mornings and evenings: a moray eel (feeding).
The islands and water around Aitutaki are spectacular.
Sadly this resort had ...

Faded Glory
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/06
The resort has a fantastic location on its own motu, overlooking the beautiful Aitutaki lagoon. Fortunately, the beauty of Aitutaki makes up for the disappointment of this hotel. Most of the facilities desparately need a facelift, starting with the bungalows. Think peeling paint, mold in the bathroom, and cheap furniture. The food was better ...

Wind swept isle
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/12/05
This hotel at one point was probably a very nice hotel. It needs a full face lift, from the rooms to the restaurant. The service was also lacking. When we arrived we were promised a bottle of champagne because we were newlyweds, we had to convince them, and almost beg for a bottle that probably cost $5.00...and it was warm!! We ended up ...
