the bar was great not much morethe best part of the hotel is the roof top bar / pool. i would recomend of a night out or a day trip. the only problem is that you have to have a room to get to the top. try the service stairs. they say it works to get up4 of 4 Yahoo! Definetly one of the top 5 on the strip.I reside locally in the Hampton Roads area and spend most of my time down at the beach year round. I can boast that I have stayed at every hotel on Atlantic avenue at Virginia Beach. As they construct these hotels I put them on my list and go spend a night during the off-season. Never again.First, I can't say that the strip on Virginia Beach is where I want to go on vacation again. It's a step above Coney Island and a step below Atlantic City. The Hilton may be the nicest hotel on the Strip, but only because the others have clients that look like the just got out of the State Pen.

They don't have oceanfront rooms!I had reserved an King Superior OV room online. I followed up with a call to the hotel directly to inquire if the room was direct oceanfront with a balcony overlooking the boardwalk and ocean. The front desk people said it was. 4-star hotel, yeah right!First off by saying this is a nice property. When we had arrived, I was wondering if I had made a wise decision to stay here. Valet parking was $5.00. Good luck HIltonWe spent the July 4th weekend at the new HIlton. The hotel is very nice, good aesthetics, nice bar & restaurant. The check-in was average, good valet service.
The downsides include a lack of planning regarding elevators, and a staff that is being totally overwhlemed by the shear numbers of guests. The location is smack dab in the middle of a heavily used portion of the beach.
