Just arrived home after a week at the Turquesa. Was in Veraderro last year .I enjoyed this resort a little better. Food was a little better. The flies and birds are the only negative but it is easy to get used to them. A big resort but the carts are always available to drive you around. How people can be so negative is beyond me. All most all of the staff was excelent! We did the catermeran(snorkling& swim with the dolpins WOW awesome this made our trip! costly but well worth it. Pools are beautiful,however i was disappointed with the weeds in the ocean.i do not care what was on shore (sea weed). Sand was beautiful.

travelled to cuba with first choice at the end of august, five of us in our party we had a fantastic time, the hotel was lovely and the staff were great,but the food wasnt very nice at all, in fact my brother in law got food poisoning and we had to call the doctor, by the end of the first week we all had taken imodium.

The smell in the restaurants were horrible,so was the food. We could only take about four days of it. My ocean view was I'm sure facing that way, but only with trees and lots of birds. A five minute walk to the beach I couldn't even see. seemed to be a very safe country. Rent the mopeds.

rooms very good and spacious, close to beach, great for kids plenty of pools, the only problem is you have to walk up about 80 steps to get to bars ,shop, and dining area but at lunch you can eat near to the beach.it is mainly brits and canadians who are very friendly, take a thermos mug for your beer keeps it cool.

PROS:
-The grounds and pools are absolutely beautiful, and very well maintained and clean.
-Our room (wedding suite) was great.

In 2007 we went there and since we liked it so much we are going back in 2008.
It's a fairly clean resort with better than average service.Nice people and beautiful country.

its awsome because well every thing about it is great. the food is really good. the shows are exelent. the price is worth it i rather go there then be here in the frezzing cold in canada
