Definitely in the top 5 of places to get pizza in Pittsburgh. You can get just about anything on your pizza. While most food is American it is home cooking and excellent. But the beer! Great! There is nothing like a home brewed beer. You can get a smorgasbord of 6 or 8 beers. They are great.

Seemed a lot more uptight than I expected for a brew restaurant. Waiter was very stuffy and uptight.

Visited from out of town. Had to try it for the experience. After getting over the shock of being in a former church it was pretty good. The beers were excellent. The food was so so. I, and my family, used to enjoy this place, however recently it has gone downhill. My last visit just this week was the last time I will go there again- Thurs night, not crowded at all and the service was awful and the food very dissappointing.

We went with a large group to the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean. The server was extremely pleasant and attentive. The food was unique and very tasty. I had the Kobe Beef which was spicey and delicious. The beer was high quality.

Obviously the beer is excellent. However after eating there twice I can only offer a good review. I enjoyed a nice filet, however have found the quality much better and more affordable at other area returants.

What can I say about this place? Good food, great atmosphere and the beer, all I can say is yummy. Particularly fond of the Pious Monk Dunkel and the Bell Tower Brown Ale. And the inside of the place, with the brewing vats on the altar, it's enough to make this agnostic appreciate church just a little bit more.

Perhaps you've never seen those Aquafina commercials where everyone is in the bar, wearing liederhosens, drinking Aquafina. and singing at the top of their lungs, but Church Brew Works is kind of like that. Plus they feed you!
