    Great inovative cocktails, service, and decore. Unfortunately out of the three of us that ate there, only one ate her lunch. Too expensive to have to stop for lunch after. Maybe it was my choice, but I ordered what I usually like.

  • worst experience

    I am not a food and fine dining expert, but I know a few things. This restaurant is a waste of a nice downtown location. Everything about the whole place is not conductive to a good meal. The bar is terrible also. I wouldn't wish this restaurant on my worst enemy. Just FYI - we've gone to this place five times to get a good sample to write a review.

  • Great bar scene but the food is overpriced
    By Douglas, 10/09/06
    The place was once a 4 star in our book but unfortunately over the last couple years the owners have decided to concentrate more on the bar scene in this restaurant than the food. On Friday or Saturday nights, the bar is one of the best in the area, e.g live jazz music in a trendy setting, a full bar with a great selection of mixed drinks (albeit ...

    For lunch, this place may be good, but for dinner..steer clear my friend. The lighting is horrible. I understand the whole romantic atmosphere, but we had to use the decoration candle to read the menu! The food was waay too salty; I ordered the seafood pasta and my sodium intake was over the usual limit. The service wasn't even all that great ...

  • Who knew Pinole had great places to eat.....
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/06
    Pear Street offers some great food and atmosphere. Nice bar and good drinks. Drinks can be a bit pricey. Fun nonetheless.

    Also try, Pinole Creek cafe. Right across from Pear Street. Superb price fixed dishes.

  • SCENE AND BE SEEN BISTRO

    {::Hip joint for urbanites living in "suburbia". Everytime I am in town (moved to Southern California) I always make sure to stop by and have a drink or three! I highly recommend the CREAMSICLE, tastes just like the popsicle! Food is also delicious! It's Pinole's best kept secret!::}

    A romantic and pricey dining experience. But then, dining at the Pear Street Bistro, money is not the thing, it's the camaraderie. I don't recommend the seafood special, if you're not into clams on shell, but then again, it's up to individual's preference. The rest of the menu, excellent! And try a cocktail or two.

  • Classy restaurant makes for so-so dinner
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/05
    If you're not familiar with great dining (and in the San Francisco Bay Area is that even possible?) and you're looking for a pretty place to eat in Pinole, you can't beat Pear Street Bistro. The food served is gorgeous, but there was nothing spectacular about it.
