Great big Texas ambitions, but only moderate success. First off, the filet was delicious. Great steak. But after that, it seemed that none of their dishes quite fit the beautiful location. The SW interpretation of the Seafood Chowder wasn't. Tasty, but no spiciness. Being from New Mexico, I expected some heat. The seafood was tender ...

Have you ever been south of Austin? A small town of New Braunfels, Texas has a wonderful place on the Comal River named The Springs Seafood and Steakhouse. Its an absolutely beautiful place, open and casual. The food ranges from certified Black Angus meats, a select assortment of fresh seafood and wonderful salads. A short stroll downstairs and you ...

They have good steak but I dont think it can complete with cattlemen's in the Fort Worth Stockyards. I'm not saying Dakota's isnt good, Dakota's is excellent but I dont think its the best. Cattleman's has the best black angus rideye steak in the in the state and I've been to several steakhouses in Texas. From San Antonio, to Houston, to El Paso, and even Amarillo, I still think Cattlemen's is the best.
Steaks that melt in your mouth they are so tender and juicy. Living in Texas there are tons of steak places to choose from, but if you want THE BEST...then this is the place to go. Service is superior as well.
The service was excellent as well as the food. Steak was awsome, my husband's salmon was awsome and I don't even normally eat salmon. Once we arrived we were seated right away, our server was right with us, and best of all once we ordered the food it didn't take too long for it to be served. Our server was very pleasant and always had a smile. I would most definately go again.

I love the food, okay, I am really in love with the Creme Brulle, but the food is great as well. Please call and make a reservation, it's not required, but if you want a table it's advisable.
I like to eat here because of the romantic atmosphere. It doesn't matter what is on the menu, as long as I am with the right guy. It is low lit and the wait staff is out of this world. They are very accomodating.
