The Jucy Lucy is a must if you are visiting Minneapolis and prefer to get off the beaten path and taste some true local food! I loved the authentic 1950's - 1960's feel of the bar...it really hasn't been updated much since except for a few flat screen TV's. The service was friendly, and you really feel like you are experiencing a slice of the 'good ole days.'

I enjoy the Juicy Lucy's from Matt's Bar, I usually pick up my food to go.YES the parking is not for the regular night out for dinner although it is a neighborhood bar so what can you expect. Small bar with more people than it can even actually fit, so service is expected to be slow. I love going to Matt's the burgers and fries are great the best I have had that are done exactly how you want it. (NOT RAW!!)

Matt's bar is a south Minneapolis working class bar - and it looks it. (However, it is NOT dangerous) Don't go here expecting 4-star service and cloth napkins. Do go here for a jucy lucy and beer. If you love cheeseburgers like me you'll think you died and went to heaven.

The jucy lucy is their signature--but let's face it 2 burgers with cheese in the middle that liquifies during frying. Tastes fine, fries are very good. But this place is for regulars.
