loved the palaceWe will go back to the Riu chain. We had a very good time and would recommend the Palace to others. We rode the city bus and felt very safe. The beaches were beautiful (except for the cigarette buts).
But, the only thing I did not like was that people thought the beach was their own personal ash tray. I think the hotels should not allow smoking on the beaches. Other than that it was great.16 of 18 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulOVERALL

Can't wait to go againWe took this trip in celebration of many things, 2 anniversarys ,2 birthdays, and a graduation. There were 13 of us in all. We found the trip online through Funjet and then had an agent book it. One couple with us had been there last year and loved it so they suggested we go there. Awesome, Recommend to anyone!!!!The Riu Palace was nothing but extradionary. By the time we walked in, we were greeted and asked for drinks or whatever we needed. The lobby and everything surrounding is awesome. Pools, view of ocean, everything was great. The buffet was actually really good too, but you probably wont wanna eat it every day. Not what you think..Go somewhere else!!!!!My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotle for five nights. They have a company called hotelbeds that takes care of your travel/tours etc.. What a joke. We waited for a ride at the airport for 45 minutes in the sun after our flight arrived. Upon arrival, we had to meet with Hotelbeds representative Pablo. He was a crook. 24 Hours of LuxuryMy husband and I had our wedding here and stayed for a week. We are so glad we found this resort! It is absolutely wild! Although, it is very dignified. Riu 2nd time aroundAfter enjoying our first time at a Riu, we decided to go back this June. The property is located in the center of Cancun. The rooms and common areas are clean and very well kept. 25th anniversaryThis was our first time at this hotel but our 3 time in Cancun. The hotel we usually stayed at was damage in the hurricane. Our travel agent told us about this hotel. Stayed in 2006 going back in 2009Absolutly loved it took my wife, my mom, and an aunt they loved it also. Very beautiful, very good food. One of the best beaches in Cancun. Went on one excursion everyone else who had stayed in other hotels all complained of the beach. Ours was groomed every morning with beach chairs arranged. Could swim in the water whenever you want to. We are going back in February 2009 with a couple of friends and their children. Looking forward to it.5 of 5 Yahoo!
