Vacationed there 7/5 to 7/8/07. It's a great place for families especially the pool and slide area. Buffet had great variety of foods tho dinner was pricey at $45. Room was large and clean. Staff were friendly & helpful. Good location...just few mins from downtown Kailua-Kona. Keauhou Shopping Center is 5 mins away with theaters. ...

Hotel is absolutely beautiful & in a quiet area. We couldn't have asked for a better location. Tucked away just a little pass the tourist area, but close enough to go there if you want to enjoy the shopping, swimming,the night life or if you just want to take a walk.

The facility with pool and kids club, luau event, and restaurant are a good value. There is almost no beach nearby on a volcanic island! Nearby Kona is great!

I love this hotel right on the bay. At dusk the manta rays come into the bay for the night and its an amazing sight. You can even have a supervised dive with them.
This is the old Kona Surf hotel at Keauhou Bay on the Kona side of the Big Island. Remodeled totally with a cute little spa to pamper you and great customer service.

Perfect get away for families too. Away from the crowd.

Our honeymoon which lasted 8 days, 5 of which were at this hotel. We were not impressed at all, horrible service. The front desk lied and said our package only came with 1 breakfast buffet, but she would upgrade us for the whole trip...I had the paper right there saying we had free breakfast every morning. The room service left our tray sitting ...

It was perfect!!! Nothing wrong!!! Like a five star hotel!!! I loved it and i cant wait to go back agani and again and again and again!!!

The luau is terrific. The food and entertainment were very good.
The restaurants are good and the prices were reasonable.
Location is very pretty. The area and grounds are peaceful. Not crawling with touristy types like the nearby big name hotel.

It is so peacefull and relaxing and the people are just great!! Fabulious room service and veiws!! Cozy and quiet!! Waking up feeling energized and free!!
